MY PATH TO AYURVEDA

Where science
meets spirit

As an empathetic child who loved all animals (pet snakes included), my nervous system was easily stressed. Western medicine saved my life in infancy, but frequent childhood sickness meant a life filled with antibiotics, and my love for learning eventually led me to become a Registered Nurse.

Working bedside through COVID-19 in New York City, I more starkly saw where Western medicine fell short—both for my patients and for my own wholeness. Inspired by my diverse family to explore global traditions, I traveled to India for an immersive study of Ayurvedic medicine.

Ayurveda is a science rooted in nature. The moment I began studying it, everything I had learned in medicine finally clicked—as if the hidden roots of the earth were revealed. The spirit and emotional body were now included in the picture of the mental-physical body.

Now, three years into a five-year path toward becoming an Ayurvedic Doctor at Ayurved Sadhana Vidyalaya in Colorado, my work bridges nine-plus years of nursing with the somatic practices of traditional bodywork & breathwork (prāṇāyāma), Lymphatic Enhancement Therapy, and sacred postpartum care.

THE HEART OF THE PRACTICE

Small rituals |
meaningful connection

Ayurveda invites us to notice our daily and seasonal habits, the foods that nourish us, and the ways we move through the world. Guided by the traditional Vaidyas, shamanic and tantric mentors who entrusted me with this knowledge here and in India, my intention is to help you integrate this sacred wisdom into your life in a way that feels approachable, personal, and modern.
